Ps.92:14-15 They shall still bring forth fruit in their old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; to shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Well, I am now 70 years old. How awesome is that?  How do I feel? Not Any different than four days ago when I was 69!!! I had the biggest surprise party ever.  Becky and my daughter Penny were very sneaky along with all the teachers, etc. And the biggest surprise was seeing four teachers from San Pedro Sula. They left SPS at four o'clock in the morning to be here on time. It's basically a four hour drive.  These are the same ones that want me to go to SPS to teach English.  What an easy job that would be compared to here because they have a bilingual school. But the Lord has put me here, and if and when He says to leave here for wherever, then I will go.  But what a blessed day.  And to top it all off, my one student here at home made dinner for  my family and Becky.  Pupusas are the best, not to mention her upside down pineapple cake, Honduran style.  What a day! And of course, I had to think about my mother. I weighed almost nine pounds when I was born!!! Whew!!

The Lord has blessed me with a large family, and it's continuing to grow. He's blessed me with good health, friends, something to do, a nice house, yard, etc. But the greatest blessing is knowing that
He is always with me.  When I mess up, He is here to help me through the bad feelings, guilt, etc. , and to forgive. My daughter, who was here with hubby Steve, and I had a discussion about death. I told her that I think about it because it is an experience that I will go through. She asked me if I was afraid, and I said no. A Christian only changes his house when he dies physically. He is still living! Jesus gives us so many promises to help us along the way. Our part is to believe what He says. When Pastor Rick and his team were here from CA, he gave me a word from the Lord. He said that I wasn't in the last chapter of my life, and that the greatest was yet to come. I know that it was from the Lord because of things that I had been thinking about that no one else knew. But the Lord knows every thought that we have, and I'm so glad that He does! I didn't realize that my thoughts were what they were until Pastor Rick spoke to me, and then I had complete understanding. How our God loves us!

So I give thanks first and foremost to the Lord for my life. I give thanks to my daughter who wanted to make this day really special for me and for her hubby Steve, who loves his mother-in-law so much. I thank Becky for all her love, work, and effort to pull this off so wonderfully for me. I give thanks to my other children and grandchildren who sent greetings, and to Doug and his family for the Skype video. And I thank my co-workers, friends, and students for their well wishes and gifts. And a special thank you to the ladies of Martha Circle in Kingman.  I pray the Lord bless all of you a hundredfold.
